It's a two-year programme with three key pillars:

We build T-shaped software engineers, combining broad technical knowledge and deep specialism within a specific domain - chosen alongside the employer partner.

💬 Leadership

Our programme creates game-changing future leaders. Here, we emphasise the soft skills needed to perform well in technical teams and use theories of human motivation and performance.

📈 Performance

We empower Scholars to realise their full potential. Based on theories of human motivation and performance, the Performance pillar gives you the opportunity to take action to reach your personal goals.

Breadth and depth: The Mark and The Track

The Mark (pre-employment)

The Mark is our investment in Scholars - a transformative experience, with no tuition and a Scholar Grant.

Over 16 weeks, they undergo intensive training in full stack engineering, collaboration and leadership (4 weeks part-time, 12 weeks full-time). We prepare them for the real world - practical skills, remote working and team communication. (See: Covid: Preparing Scholars for remote, flexible work)

Towards the end of the 16 weeks, we match Scholars to Partners using inputs of values, culture and business need.

The Track (on-the-job)

At 16 weeks, our Scholars transition to a full-time software engineering role at their employer.

For the rest of the 2 years, we provide the ongoing support, mentoring and coaching needed for Scholars to succeed, accelerate and thrive in their workplaces.

Scholars continue to train part-time alongside their Academy cohort, whilst embedding, learning and growing at work.

Beyond the two years

Scholars leave the programme but never leave Academy, with our community always there to support our alumni.
